She buys the traditional houses in her hometown, Chicago, and brings them as a buyers-friendly dream property, which helps in gaining profit and also contributes to preserving the old and historic buildings and their significance. During the time of nine months of the project, Alison and other crew members dealt with the reworking of the historical buildings in its original set up and also tributed to their features, including antique doors, vintage brick exterior, antique wood doors, dark stained hardwood floors, and a showpiece antique mantle.
Despite her willingness to give the original shape and size to the old buildings, some of the residents of Chicago complained about her project for lack of community outreach and hazardous construction sites on Thomas Street Location. The local residents claimed that the project carried out the unmanaged waste disposal in their community, which harmed them as well as their pets.
