Anne’s Opinion On Gender Based Salary Causes Uproar

Anne in an interview with The Sun in January 2018, spoke her heart out about gender pay inequality and shocked the world when she said that, part-time working women should be paid less than men.

She further revealed that she is not bothered by the fact that men get paid more than women. The gender pay inequality issue surfaced in BBC when it came to light that Chris Evans received more than £2.2 million while the highest paid female Claudia Winkleman received a salary of just £450,000 and £500,000.

The issue had already created a storm in the media with high profile journalist agreeing on the pay cut. Huw Edwards is the recent name to accept the remuneration cut of 20%, which is equal to £120,000.

Anne didn’t stop there; she further enraged the people when she said,

"It's to do with whether or not you have kids and whether you take time off to look after them, You're not doing the same job if you're not putting in the same hours, so I rather hope she is only getting two or three fifths of what the men get because she isn't putting in the hours"

She also added that she is fortunate not to have a family because having kids means expensive upbringing and chaos.
