Barry Du Bois derives his net worth from his expertise in renovating and designing the house. He is a competent interior designer and master builder with an experience of more than three decades.

He initially started mustering wealth as a skilled carpenter. With his hard work and dedication, he eventually built his own company. He retired from his career at the age of 46 and started appearing on television shows.

The Australian designer, Barry also earned a hefty amount by sharing his expertise on Channel Ten’s show The Renovators in 2011. He later appeared on Channel Ten’s lifestyle program The Living Room which began airing on 11 May 2012.

Barry is married to Leonie Tobler for almost two decades. The pair pronounced each other husband and wife on 18th March 2000. The couple had a private wedding ceremony involving only close friends and family. The Living Room star shared a picture on Instagram wishing his wife for her birthday and celebrated their eighteenth anniversary on a peaceful environment near a water body.

The couple was showered with happiness with the arrival of twins in June 2012. The happy family is often seen enjoying their life roaming to various beautiful places. On the occasion of new year, Barry posted a family picture grabbing the moment to celebrate with his family members in Bondi, New South Wales, Australia.

Leonie is a cervical cancer survivor, but a devastating miscarriage followed her battle. She has lost her ability to bear children due to the disease. Meanwhile, They were assisted by an Indian surrogate to deliver the twin kids.

Battle With Cancer: Disease Runs In The Family!

Barry was diagnosed with cancer of the immune system, plasmacytoma myeloma in 2010. With various chemotherapy and medication, he finally overcame the fatal disease. His life beautifully started to mold, but the fate is likely against him. 

But he shocked the world when he shared his painful story on The Living Room in October 2017 as he was again diagnosed with cancer for the second time which was even more aggressive. He was pissed off knowing about cancer as he was starting to enjoy life with his family and kids this time. Most recently, Barry appeared in The Living Room after opening up about his battle with cancer for the second time. Barry opened up about his battle with cancer. Likewise, in an interview with New Idea, he said,

‘But let’s not kid ourselves. I don’t think I’m dying. None of us gets out of here alive, but I don’t think I’m going to die. I believe in myself, and I will instill in my children the same self-belief.’

Barry's sufferings started after he lost his mother to breast and bowel cancer in 2004.

Born on 4 August 1960, Barry Du Bois was raised in Sydney, Australia by his parents, with two siblings, and uncle. Barry loves boats, and when he was young, he used to raft with his brother and his dad used to watch them in the river. Barry belongs to white ethnicity and holds Australian nationality. The Australian television star has a birth sign of Leo.

He attended Chipping Norton Public School and Liverpool Boys High School. He also has a certificate on building and diploma of interior design.
