Despite welcoming two kids, Cynthia Rodriguez filed for divorce on July 7, 2008, stating "emotional abandonment" of her and her children and "extra marital affairs and misconduct" by her husband, Alex, as his relationship with Madonna was revealed. Alex also responded in a court document that their relationship was over.
Cynthia demanded the couple's $12 million waterfront estate and equal distribution of all assets acquired in their marriage in their divorce petite; however, their heir clashes ended in a settlement whose details were never revealed.
