On 13th June 2016, Melbourne Beach Police Department arrested Kate Chastain for allegedly harassing her ex-girlfriend Rocio Hernandez claimed that Kate bit her in the inner bicep, leg, and forearm before strangling her and choking her.

Kate also confirmed the allegations by saying that she did have a physical confrontation with Hernandez. On 14th June, she was released by the police after posting a bond of $5000in the court. After her release, she stated via Twitter on 15th June:
“Thank you for your support during this difficult & humiliating time. The truth will come out & I look forward to regaining peace in my life.”
A Fling with Hot Jesus!
After breaking up with Rocio Hernandez, she bumped into a hot guy on the episode of “Below Deck” which aired on 19th September. The guy whom she referred to as the “Hot Jesus” is the Morton who is the Swedish Sailor. She then said to Daily Dish that:
